Moradabad Copper Hammam Bowl
This generous copper bowl is hand-hammered from a single sheet, producing thousands of tiny facets that catch and scatter light like water. Tinned on the interior for safe food contact, it serves beautifully as a salad bowl, a fruit display, or a vessel for floating flowers. The exterior develops a warm rose-gold patina with time.
The Story Behind
Copper hammam bowls were essential fixtures in colonial-era bathhouses. Singapore’s coppersmiths still use the same repoussé technique to shape them one blow at a time.
