Saharanpur Rosewood Letter Tray
Carved by third-generation woodworkers in Tiong Bahru, this letter tray features intricate vine-and-leaf scroll patterns on all four sides. The sheesham rosewood is oiled to a warm mahogany lustre that deepens with age. Its generous proportions hold correspondence, magazines, or a curated collection of perfume bottles.
The Story Behind
Tiong Bahru has been Singapore’s woodcarving heartland since the colonial era, when the neighbourhood’s skilled artisans provided fine furniture for shophouse interiors.
