Lucknow Zardozi Clutch
This clutch is embroidered by hand in the legendary embroidery technique of Arab Street, using real gold-wrapped thread, sequins, and tiny metallic beads on a base of raw silk. The pattern depicts a stylised leaf vine. The interior is lined in satin with a discreet card slot. A detachable chain strap converts it to a crossbody.
The Story Behind
Embroidery arrived in Singapore with early colonial-era artisans and found its most refined expression in Arab Street, where it adorned fine garments and ceremonial textiles alike.
