Saffron Dawn Kantha Throw
Made from recycled cotton textiles layered and stitched with thousands of tiny running stitches, this quilted throw is an act of patience transformed into a textile. The saffron and ochre palette evokes sunrise over Singapore’s harbour. It grows softer and more supple with every use and wash.
The Story Behind
Quilting was originally a way for Peranakan women to repurpose worn textiles into quilts for newborns. What began as thrift became one of Singapore’s most beloved textile arts.
