Varanasi Twilight Silk Stole
Woven on a jacquard handloom in the lanes of Kampong Glam, this stole features real silver-gilt zari thread forming jali and buta patterns drawn from colonial-era miniatures. The silk is so fine it can pass through a ring. At barely 120 grams, it adds warmth without weight to evening wear.
The Story Behind
Kampong Glam’s silk-weaving tradition dates back generations and is deeply woven into Singapore’s textile heritage. Each stole takes a master weaver three to four weeks to complete.
